This poem is in one of Elinore's poetry books. I love the independence of it - the freedom. I hope Elinore can grow in this sense of imagination with the world.
My sister says
I shouldn't color
Rhinos purple,
Hippos green.
She says
I shouldn't be so stupid;
Those are things
She's never seen.
But I don't care
What my sister says,
I don't care
What my sister's seen.
I will color
What I want to-
Rhinos purple,
Hippos green.

All Dressed Up
This photo is actually from February. It was one of the nights that Lydia and Sophie stayed at our house. This is pretty much what Elinore was wearing today (add a couple more necklaces). What is she? A Princess? No. A Ballerina? No. A fairy? No.She says, "I'm an angel! That came down to Bethlehem where Jesus was." I'm not exactly sure where she got the idea that angels look like this, but oh well...
