Rhinos Purple, Hippos Green

This poem is in one of Elinore's poetry books. I love the independence of it - the freedom. I hope Elinore can grow in this sense of imagination with the world.

My sister says
I shouldn't color
Rhinos purple,
Hippos green.
She says
I shouldn't be so stupid;
Those are things
She's never seen.
But I don't care
What my sister says,
I don't care
What my sister's seen.
I will color
What I want to-
Rhinos purple,
Hippos green.

That's a cute poem. I always enjoyed reading poetry to Gabe. A pleasing rhythm of words always seemed so soothing-to both of us. Soon I hope he'll be reading them to himself.
