These tulips in our yard have been blooming for quite a few days already, as are many in the Holland area. Hope they can last until Tulip Time!

Toby and Tulips
Toby turned two last week and was well celebrated with a party last Saturday. He loved his train cake, and each child got a train car to eat. He was excited and joyful throughout the party (See his expression in the second picture.) He had lots of help opening his gifts, and his new book, Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go
, was read MANY times, here by Grandpa Bodine. Construction vehicles seemed to be a theme in both clothes and toys, much to his delight. A good time was had by all.
These tulips in our yard have been blooming for quite a few days already, as are many in the Holland area. Hope they can last until Tulip Time!

After Easter Dinner
Since we were blessed with warm weather on Easter, the kids could play outside and get rid of some of their energy. Sam and Cade found a tree to climb, and the backyard swings were enjoyed for the first time this spring.
Nora loved walking in the grass, and Noah and Toby had some major negotiating to do about who would get to ride (sit on) the Green Machine.
Although we live on a cul-de-sac and the kids can be in the street, there was plenty of adult supervision as it was fun to see the kids enjoying spring weather after a long, cold winter. The day was a sweet foretaste of things to come--and so appropriate for Easter Sunday.
