The girls enjoyed their sets of magnetic paper dolls
--which were a bit more quiet than chain saws. Paper dolls are great for imaginary play and have remained popular for generations. Mine were not magnetic but still worth hours of fun.December's greatest gift was baby Blaise Michael

I think a few years ago, it would have been considered somewhat "sexist" to give such traditional gifts to boys and girls (shouldn't they all like the same things??) but it seems we have learned that, for the most part, they actually LIKE the traditional gifts the best. Isn't that what you are finding?? Looks like everybody was happy!!
Although the girls do seem to enjoy the train set-up, that is one of few cross-over toys. The little boys show an occasional interest in taking dolls for a ride in the stroller, but it usually doesn't last long. Playing "camping" appeals to all. Interesting observations!
