Jake's mother and one of our granddaughters have the same first name, so there is a picture of them together. It was a very busy day but one that we will all long remember. Jake will leave soon for Europe and be married this summer in Germany. We send our prayers and best wishes with him as he begins his new life there.

Congratulations, Jake!
Jake (his American name), for whom we have been host family, graduated from Hope College on May 9. His parents and brother were able to come from the Netherlands, much to Jake's surprise. After Baccalaureate, the Brunch, and the Commencement Ceremony, we celebrated with our family and Jake's. Sam is holding one of the juggling balls used by Jake's brother for an impressive juggling show which delighted the kids. He juggled fruit as well as balls and was able to peel and eat a banana while continuing to juggle!

What a nice picture of their family!
I agree. They plan to use it for their newsletter that they send out to their supporters. I was able to give them a book of pictures taken during the time they were here.
I'm sure they really appreciated that as well as all of your hospitality. It's the end of an era!
