Visiting Veere
Having heard often about the beautiful little town of Veere in the Netherlands, we decided to stay there as one of our stops on the way to Jake's wedding in Germany earlier this month. We stayed at a bed and breakfast and had a room on the ground floor with a "Dutch Door" that opened onto the main street of the town. We had a great view of the very picturesque town, including the town hall (1477) which now serves as a museum. Just steps away from the wall around the town, we saw these sheep. Staying there was truly a step back in time and a glimpse into a peaceful, pastoral way of life.

It seems like some places in the world never change - somehow these little towns manage to sustain themselves. A slower pace, for sure. Looks restful. How funny - my "word verification" word is "rests". How appropriate!
