Sentimental Journey
Before August arrives, I want to share a few pictures from our recent trip to the Netherlands. One of our main reasons for going there was to visit Mary, our dear friend who recently turned 86. We took her out for her birthday in Voorschoten, a beautiful small town near the Hague. We traveled with her to Haarlem where we discovered "woltheus cruises," so, of course, we had to take a cruise of the canals. We also visited the Grote Kerk with this incredible organ which Mozart played. The last picture is of the Town Hall in Franeker, where my grandfather was born. The reason the streets are so deserted is that it was Sunday, and very little happens in small towns on Sunday--or Monday.
