So here is how it all went down, we arrived at the hospital at 8:00am, they broke Jen's water at 8:30...contractions began almost immediately. Just under 7 hours later at 3:21pm on November 18 2005, Elinore Yarin Wolthuis came into the world. In case you were wondering, the middle name is of Hebrew origin, meaning "to understand." It was a truly amazing experience for everyone involved. Check out these pictures. We look forward to you all meeting her in person.1st order of business...take a nap.

Thanks for sharing these pictures, and we can testify that she really is a beautiful baby--and such fun to cuddle. One stat not mentioned is that she weighed 9 lbs., 1 oz., and is the largest baby in our family so far. Maybe because of her size, Dad has not been at all hesitant to hold her. Although Jen would not agree, Dad is glad Elinore waited to arrive until the day he returned from his trip. Now she just needs to get her days and nights figured out so her parents can get some sleep.
